Love the venturing out into a new area of kinda a bluesy gospel vibe here. Francesca captures a special quality and elements on this traditional song and her interpretation is really nice. it has a simple piano accompaniment that could be developed perhaps on a future release, even though I liked the singing and arrangement, I know Francesca could rework and re-jig this tune even more with a a bit slower bluesy gospel vibe , the intro captures that gospel feeling even more so and lays the foundation for the song and I would suggest finding some voicings for the piano that moves less and focuses more on the vocals. I happened to have another visit to Auset's artist page and scrolled down through the songs and my eye caught the song entitled "The Mystic" so I had to have a listen. This song captured my interest and attention immediately. The elements of Ausets soulful vocals, her fluid guitar accompaniment coupled with the tasteful bass lines and the well defined and skillful percussionist who holds it all together so well.
The songs introduction is quite appealing, with its reflective calming quality and to me is quite introspective.
The lead guitarist captures your attention with such a
sweetness of staying within the theme of the songs title with a very Mystical and elegant feel that is very smooth and at the same time piercing the very soul of my being with its own singing quality

Something so sweet about this song for sure, such beautiful rhythmic guitar work and with such gorgeous tonal qualities, indeed somewhat elegant even, and then the truth is revealed in the song, as Miche captures you and reels you in with her haunting inviting vocals and tells that story that we all have been through sometime in our lives, that being caught in a web ,a tangled up confused frustration of sorts, it is never understood why, it is just the way it is and so it goes, we just move on and deal with the hurting..
so fyrefly, there is something special you possess.. is it magical, yeah partly.but it is more at a passion for what you do...I have to say that I rarely find in my musical travels such a connected group , it is the cosmic musical creative vibe that you carry......
this band just rules, such pure Genius.

I love Fyrefly, they are one of my fav bands around the travels and journey's I take as I roam the music scene about the world we live in on the net, maybe one day I shall trip over to Europe and hear them live, for now i take their offerings here.....
So, yes I did a review at the Jam ,but a little here I must share as well.... I do say Miche's vocals are always haunting and intriguing and have that longing quality, life makes us and we make our life what it is. so Miche has a gift she shares with us, sometimes a sultry sexy wisper sometimes a heart felt rawking roar with intensity from deep within her she lays it all out, and Fyrefly is near a live experience as you could possible get on this one.
That bass is so there, the fine vocals, solid percussion....great guitar and all those ripping catchy riffs what a stellar mix....I swear I am in the recording studio with them.....Fyrefly soars on this one!
