to me
Hi
I recently discovered your music on ReverbNation and was really impressed, not just by the sound, but by the creativity behind it. After checking out your YouTube channel, I can see the potential for something even bigger.
My passion is helping independent artists accelerate their growth, elevate their brand, and connect with global audiences, all while staying true to their artistic vision. Here’s how I can support you:
• Get your music featured on playlists, blogs, and other outlets where fans are actively searching for new sounds
• Expand your authentic reach and fanbase across ReverbNation, YouTube, SoundCloud, Spotify, and all major social platforms
• Create tailor-made promo assets, cover art, thumbnails, banners, and video edits, that make your visuals as compelling as your music
• Promote your music across every platform you’re active on to maximize your exposure and build stronger fan engagement
You can also explore some of my past work here:

If this resonates with you, I’d love to prepare a personalized visibility audit for your profile to show where you can grow and attract even more fans.

Well did not reply. But we have had several in the last days, some more detailed than others. I'm guessing its a scam ---- $$$$ but it is quite flattering, so there is a curiosity element.I was kind of warning, that with trending AI there will be a lot of scams which seem too good to be true. Be aware.

Spotify is all about a bunch of entrepreneurs let's call them selling temporary real estate on non-impactful playlists. part of a culture that lures artists by displaying a manufactured interest in them to buy territory on said playlists. I recently had one just like that. As soon as I told my apparent new fan that I have absolutely no money to spend on promoting, her fanship and interest immediately disappeared.

I see these from Instagram, Facebook, X, Reverb Nation, Spotify, and You Tube. I ignore them. They do go away.

Nailed it Scott. we have had 7 of these in the last 2 weeks on a certain site. some are from Nigeria even. I guess this is easy for them now. It mmakes sites like IMP the only truely independent music site on the Planet, run by Indies for Indies. We should be shouting this out to the world

I just uploaded this. It's an experimental progressive poetic piece featuring a short poem by William Blake. I created it with Suno. AI is here to stay. The genie is out of the bottle.

Larree OMG this is epic. So, the vocal is AI? the production also? I have to say I loved it. How will we go back, the genie is out of the bottle
Cruelty has a human heart,
And Jealousy a human face;
Terror the human form divine,
And Secresy the human dress.
The human dress is forged iron,
The human form a fiery forge,
The human face a furnace sealed,
The human heart its hungry gorge.
William Blake (1757–1827) x

Yes, all AI. Vocals, music, everything. Is it a substitute for real music created and performed by real humans? No way. Not even close. But who knows where this new tech will be in five years? We shall see!

Well, this had just happened to me. I searched for a link to something like that on the Front Page at that Info/Support tag and couldn't find anything, so I decided posting here would be a better place than the "political place". Also, the discussion here, having been about AI "instigations" and such, I figured that "here" would be "much better" than "starting a new post topic". Anyway, sending an "e-mail" is what I am supposed to do because we don't have an "site issues" tag(place) anywhere on site?

While it's true that I do occasionally get support emails to the old support email address, we do list the indiemusicpeople2@gmail one on the top menu on the front page and also at the bottom of the artist area next to the open guitar case.

I haven't got any emails like this, but my opinion is, NO AI produced music should be allowed on any "People" music created site! These individuals are NOT musicians, nor artists. They should only be allowed on sites that cater to that kind of stuff.

Hey, Wes. I totally get how you feel. I experimented with Suno AI for kicks, and I have posted two of my creations. I am okay with it as long as people are honest about it and don't try to pass their work off as original. I play with it because I do not want to be left behind by any technology. And most of the newest mixing and mastering software on the market these days is AI-driven anyway. We can't escape it. The genie has been let out of the bottle.

great posts----makes me change my mind. I was totally anti AI when I posted this but Larree has shown that it can save heaps of time (and money), Seismo and W E Ervine I get the purity argument, I think Veritys Wabi Sabi comment on the other AI thread was accurate and true. the little mistakes / nuances are the gems for the listener.

Wes, I gotta ask you point-blank. Do you think I am not a real musician because I am experimenting with and posting my AI music? I started singing and playing guitar in the 1960s. I have been playing in bands since 1970. I have written hundreds of songs. I have studied classical and jazz theory. Not to brag at all, because I am basically very humble and usually the first guy at a jam with three or more guitar players to lay down the rhythm and comp for the others, even if they are beginners and intermediate players, but I have more musical knowledge in my fingernail clippings than most. So, you're saying I'm not real because I am embracing AI music?
Here is my recommendation. If you hate AI that much, go sign up for some free accounts at a few of the many AI music creation platforms out there. Fool around with it. Treat it like any other computer game. Read The Art of War by Sun Tzu and follow his advice when he says, "Know thine enemy." Here is the full quote:
“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained, you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
~ Sun Tzu, The Art of War
I am definitely not looking for a confrontation or a battle with you. I am simply offering an opportunity to grow and learn, and to understand what it is that you hate. Perhaps you may find that it is not as bad as you imagine.
Peace, your brother in music.
