This opening song of urban angst versus angelic guidance sweeps in on a tide of layered 12 string guitars. The voice leads you through emotions and imagery that tug at far memories in the sub-conscious and leads you sonically and phonetically into a soul mood of optimism.

The 'mind, body and spirit' marketplace is littered with the well-meaning but hapless, however occasionally someone of real brilliance shines through. Dr Caroline Myss is just such a one. Inspired by her 'Anatomy of the Spirit' she drove my pen to paper and my fingers to strings to write a full-on major-key opener for my album called 'Glittering Cities'.

I found you on your knees
You were praying for release
From the city, I feel your pity
And it comes as no surprise
I can see it in your eyes
That you are waiting, you are praying

For miracles to come, Angels from the sun
To take away your pain and say ‘You’re
free to live your life as you like’

When you
Give with arms open wide
To the world before your eyes
Your journey is long but you will be strong
In the world behind your eyes

You were shooting from the hip
There were lies upon your lips
And you were shrinking, never linking
Your head with your heart
They were rivers and hills apart
Until the mirror, showed a glimmer

Of the light that lights the world
Through time and space it hurls
Its beam upon a searching soul
And lifts up your face to the Grace

When you
Give with arms open wide
To the world before your eyes
Your journey is long but you will be strong
In the world behind your eyes

And yes there’ll be times when love looks an island
Far away in the land of the Sun
But you will get up and see there’s a reason
Why your life began

Do do do do do do do do

You can
Give with arms open wide
To the world before your eyes
Your journey is long but you will be strong
In the world behind your eyes

Show me that you can
Give with arms open wide
To the world before your eyes
You are strong – you are strong
In the world behind your eyes

Oh please give, please give
Oh give, please give, please give
