I had originally played this song many years ago in a folk duo and always loved it. I recorded it a few years back with my vocals but I really didn't do the song justice. When I met Derek, I thought he had the prefect voice for this tune so I asked him if he would do the lead vocal. I think he did an outstanding job. His vocal, to me, really personalizes the song and lets you feel the pain in this tune. He captured the extraordinary feeling of this tune thru his vocal.
