My bro Dean Sottile turned me on to this lyric a few months ago and the melody came to me in one sitting. I finally recorded it. Enjoy!

Lyrics by Dean Sottile; Music by Larree

Probably Never, Always Will

I'm not scared
But I'm afraid
Haven't made a thing
But I just got paid
I'm not restless
But I can't stand still

I'll probably never
But I always will

I'm not happy
But I can't stop singing
It's not too loud
But my ears keep ringing
I'm not sick
But I feel so ill

I'll probably never
But I always will

Probably Never, Always Will (3x)

It's not heavy
But I can't conceive it
It's pretty clear
But I don't believe it
I'm not violent
But I wanna kill

I'll probably never
But I always will

I'm not big
But I keep on growing
I'm not too smart
With all this knowing
There is a hole
Seems I just can't fill

I probably never
But I always will

Probably Never, Always Will (3x)

(Break)

I'm not inside
But I can't get out
I'm not certain
But I have no doubt
I didn't order
But I got the bill

I probably never
But I always will

I probably never
I always will...

Probably Never, Always Will (3x)

I met Dean Sottile, aka Grateful Dean, on Facebook where we are in a few of the same groups because we share a mutual interest and love for the music of the Grateful Dead. I contacted him after writing some music to a poem he posted, and he dug it and gave me more lyrics to work with. This is one of the first songs he gave me.

Barefoot on a Dirt-Floor
"Good One, Larree!"

Smile About It
a bluesy romp with groovy acoustic guitar, got swing, well played, and witty, wide-rangin' lyrics that build the contradictions, recalls Robert hunter a bit, in terms of lyric landscape, well done, cheers...

JUST LISTEN!
"MIGHT HE"? Yes, "he might". Hell, "he might" be the "MIGHT HE"-est man ever was! -M-
