Fun song about my best friend Eric and how he gets the party started by dancing and encouraging everyone else to dance.

All music and vocals written, produced and performed by Stoneman

I wrote and produced this song in 2006 and released it on the Stoneman Avenue CD in 2007. Eric, my best friend passed away last night (06-29-2011) from cancer. So, I am uploading this song about my buddy for all to hear. Eric was a man who loved life to the fullest. He was a man who loved his friends and family passionately and unconditionally. Eric was a man that danced. He was not a professional dancer but whenever a song came that he liked, he got up and danced. Because of this, we often got up and danced with him. That is what this song is all about. The party never got started until Eric began to dance. His dancing was infectious and contagious. The joy he brought to others was so beautiful, so bold and so real. My wife and I miss him already. The party will never be the same. Sorry I cannot give free downloads but this song is still under contract by the recording company. If you want a copy you will have to get it on itunes or emusic etc. Rest In Peace Eric! We Love You Man!
When Eric Does His Dance
Copyright 2006 S. Towery

The beat don’t stop poping when Eric does his dance
The party don’t stop rocking when Eric does his dance

Everybody on the dance floor, time to set this motha off

The peeps don’t stop rocking when Eric does his dance
The beat don’t stop poping when Eric does his dance
Legs and feet get to moving heads are starting to sway
All my brotha’s are grooving in the party today

Everyone is on the floor, time to turn this motha out yeah
Turn the music, up some more, so we can clap our hands and shout yeah
When Eric starts to do his dance he slides to the right
And the people start to clap there hands as he slides to the left
And he don’t give damn about what the other people do
Cause Eric came to dance and sing and drink a few

The beat don’t stop poping when Eric does his dance
The party don’t stop rocking when Eric does his dance
Everybody on the dance floor, time to set this motha off
Ladies shaking their booties, bodies moving in time
All my sisters are grooving in the party tonight

All my friends, in the Pub, time to crank this party up
Move the tables, out the way, everybody knows what up
Cause when Eric starts to do his dance we dance on the bar
And when Eric starts twirl around he moves like a star
And the people start to stomp their feet as he glides across the floor
Cause if you didn’t come to party then what did you come here for

The beat don’t stop poping when Eric does his dance
The party don’t stop rocking when Eric does his dance
Everybody on the dance floor, time to set this motha off
All my friends came to party, and to have then some fun
Just forget all your problems till the party is done

To the left to the right, Erics on the floor and he can party all night
Grooving hard he don’t care, and he is not embarrassed cause he can party anywhere
Get your hands in the air, wave around like you don’t care and let me hear my people say yeah Yeah, Yeah! let me hear my people say yeah Yeah!

The beat don’t stop poping when Eric does his dance
The party don’t stop rocking when Eric does his dance
The peeps don’t stop rocking when Eric does his dance
The beat don’t stop poping when Eric does his dance

When we dance you know that feels alright
When we sing you know that feels alright
When we party. We party hardy
When we party, we party hardy
When he moves across the floor the whole damn place is jumping
When he slides across the floor the bass keeps thump thump thumping
Yeah, when Eric does his dance……
