This is a vocal driven rock song with lots of instrumentation including keyboards, horns, bass, guitars, various drums.

Written and Performed by Mike Dooley. Recorded at JCB Studios, in Manor, Texas.

My wife was writing her debut self help book which was recently published. As she went thru the editing process, we talked a lot about different philosophies of personal growth and development. I told her the story of the first time I had heard a discussion about the Tao philosphy of the Wheel of Life and how to keep balance in your life. I was wanting new inspiration for the songs I had begun writing for my debut CD. On a particularly dry patch, I was exasperated and she simply said to me "Why don't you just write a song about "The Wheel of Life?" I thought it was such an excellent idea, I sat and wrote the song in an afternoon.
THE WHEEL OF LIFE

VERSE 1
Close your eyes, visualize,
no more lies, realize,
A big surprise –
may hardly make a sound
Can’t you see, you and me,
destiny, eternity,
Or this could be –
our final turn around

CHORUS
Cause when you’re riding on the wheel of life
You’re spinning like a top
There are times you’re spinning like,
It’s never going to stop
Just remember that the wheel of life
It never does slow down
Before you have the time to realize it
The wheel has made - another turn around

VERSE 2
Communicate, celebrate
educate, appreciate,
It’s not too late –
hope can still be found.
Maximize - long goodbyes,
minimize – teary eyes,
Love is still –
what makes this world go ‘round.

REPEAT CHORUS

VERSE 3
Life is short, false report,
last resort, no support,
Nothing’s left –
but you’ll survive somehow.
Dignity, harmony,
ecstasy, you will see,
If we believe –
that we can do it now

REPEAT CHORUS TWICE
