Everybody's got a song about an Angel
and everybody's got a song about a train
It sounds as if they all know their destination
Well I don't even know where the hell I am today

Everybody's got a song about the good times
Yeah, everybody's got a song about a friend
I guess somehow I must've missed the invitation
There's a party goin' on everywhere but here

Does anybody have a song about a song
Like the one I heard so long ago
It made me feel better than who I am
but I'll be damned if I can recall the name

Everybody's got a song about about the heavens
and everybody's got a song about a dream
but I don't hear no earth shakin' revelations
could be I've been gone to long at sea

Everybody's got a song about the sunshine
Everybody's got a song about a king
Well I wish I knew how to feel those good vibrations
Don't the good book say ask and thou shall recieve

Does anybody have a song about a song
Like the one I heard so long ago
It made me feel better than who I am
but I'll be damned if I can recall the name

Everybody's got a song about an Angel
Everybody's got a song about the good times
Everybody's got a song about the sunshine
Everybody's got a song

LEGENDARY MUSIC
Sitting here listening to this great song, I picture you Sam like a wandering troubadour, guitar slung over your shoulder and your demeanour reflecting wisdom gained over the years, assured and confident and ready for an audience of one or one thousand. And when the time comes, like the Amazing Kreskin, you pull a song out of a song. How can this be I ask myself. So I listen once again, this time following where your piquant lyrics, engaging voice and haunting acoustic melody leads me, and like magic Sam, you make both the picture and the song and the performance become complete. You don't need no band Sam - you do it all, and you do it all so well, so perfectly that you make it look and sound so easy. I want to hear it again and again. It is pure and honest, and I can feel it coming straight from your heart Sam. "Everybody's Got A Song" has definitely got a place on Legendary Music. Bravo old troubadour!! Bravo on a performance and a song well done!!

JP Sharpe Presents IAC Super Songwriters
I am not ranking these artists, but this is my #1 guy. He tells it like it is and scratches his songs out straight from the heart. Inspiring.

Soul Retrieval
Good lyricist! Your a cool poet!

ARTISTs SELECTION
Selected by the Man With No Band.. Great song title for this station.

The Good Stuff Trois!!!
This one really touched me. Perusing your songs again, Sam, this one may be my favorite of yours. And, again, it's your voice that is your most-effective instrument. So honest and devoid of affectations that is completely pulls me in. Excellent tune.

OatP and Friends and REVIEWS!!
This song is rather poignant, especially here in a community like this one. It draws on that universality of not just artists but of people who genuinely try to move through this world. It's minimalistic nature lends itself incredibly well to saturating yourself in it's message. The guitar is suitably driving and the vocals drip with soul. But the lyrics are where this song really shines, and you should really give yourself time to soak in them, the way you might listen to a Bob Dylan song. This is music by songwriting not about any other things music sometimes gets caught up in. Great, great tune.

serendipity redux II
It's been hard to be patient, working through the old Serendipity stations in strict chronological order, because there are some old IAC-ers I really wanted to hear again. At last: one of the prime suspects. So modest he could be English, the lad just keeps writing songs marinaded in truth and beauty, and isn't that all you need to know? Please, just stream his page, preferably with lights lowered and a glass of something close to hand

Musings
Wow! SO BEautiFULL!!! ...and it's a song about a song. -M-
