Too Far, Too Fast, Too Soon
Words and music: Brian Booth, copyright 2002

Taking in corrections
Reviewing where affections lie
Looking for connections, I’m
Not seeing things straight

When you spin the bottle
And the pace is getting hot, I’ll
Pay the forfeit when I’ve got to, but
I want the cheap rate

Too far, too fast, too soon...

Too much information
Trying hard for my attention
Haven’t even asked a question, yet
The answers are all there

Night and day the same now
Every second in its frame now
And it really is a shame how
We’re all going nowhere

Too far, too fast, too soon...

Losing in this race now
Don’t think I can keep my place now
Will they take away my space now
I’m falling far behind?

Running with the losers
Have to take too much abuse, but
When we were young, this would’ve amused us
Sharpshooting for the blind

Too far, too fast, too soon...

Taking in corrections
Reviewing where affections lie
Looking for connections, I’m
Not seeing things straight

Here we are
Here we stay
Going nowhere...

A strange, but really cool track this,so glad Brian uploaded it...Like a psychedelic 60s song done in the 80s..The atmosphere and feel here is just really magical, like very early Syd-era Pink Floyd, like being sat in the garden of unearthly delights as Angelic Geshas pour you glasses of intoxicating wine or something..The Too far too fast hook/ stop is just ace......

Moody, Cool, Psychotic, and Mesmerizing
Cool stuff, Brian! This reminds me a bit of ELP and King Crimson. I love the keyboard-work. Really a great overall mood to this piece. -M-
