The Death of a Spaceman
It’s too late for me to save myself but I’ll wait and see how it all works out. Try to remain optimistic needless to say not realistic when I hear you scream. Houston to Apollo you’re never going to make it. I’m not even going to fake it, you’re all going to die. Bad News don’t come easy from this distant city, control room on the ground to the spaceman in the sky. Captain call your loved ones, tell them that your dead now, no there is nothing left now for them to do but cry. From your tiny capsule can you see the earth glow when you’re drifting through the stars on this fateful summer night?
Fight, Fight on tonight, tonight we fight for what is right.
I’ll miss the late night glow of street lights the empty bars and drunken fist fights Hollywood and bad T.V watching as you’re boring me and I’ll miss those fights with mom and dad and all the little talks we had well it seems worth it now to me as I float here hopelessly…
No, I’m not coming down…
I’m not coming down back to the ground.
God damn you and your typical mood lose the too cool attitude this isn’t high school this is real I hope you know just how I feel.
