Here, in the year of 2203
It's far too late to rejuvenate me
And don't we know that when one turns the treatment down
They place us under lock and key
Here, we've been quarantined
And you, your crime, you are genetically flawed
They've determined you must die of natural cause

My desire to live is weak
Yours, unfortunately strong
Your time here will be short
Mine's been far too long
So take the injections to the places you'll never be
But me, I'll soon be fast asleep peeling memories from my mind
Is it such a good thing, they let us dial our own dreams

I'll place my mind in another time
Where every life was still precious
Even while so very brief
The Reaper came, soon to be gone
Now, he's always around
The people try to look away
Afraid to face a forever setting sun
There was a time when people like you and I could freely walk around
We could watch the sun go down, with the sand beneath our feet
We understood that the dawn would come again

In 2203, only here have we survived
This cybernetic biotechnic mass suicide
Syphoned through a tube, they drain the essence out
Designate it, toxic waste, they jettison the soul
High above, The Maker looks down
As with the methods they employ
The image is destroyed

Bring your wheelchair to viewing deck west with me
Together, watch this dying earth turn away from the sun
I want you there for the sunrise on the new world.
The sun will rise on the new world.

Beyond the Blue Event Horizon
A chilling view of the future, but probably on the money. Musically, this certainly is. DH employs cool rhythmic changes, counterpoint and neat progressions in this tune. As always: Kids, do not attempt this at home.
