Coffee
Coffee in the morning
I cannot sleep now the day has come
I need coffee in the evening
I have this time I should get something done
But I’m so tired
And I’m dreaming something
The light shines
The day is coming now
I’m fascinated by the moon at night
Fascinated by the morning light
Fascinated by the rhythm of life
I can open my eyes, I can open my eyes
I need coffee, legal substance
Legal, legal substance now
I knew a guy used to wake up to pray
He would dream he was already praying
In his dream he’d realize his mistake
And he’d pray in his sleep to awake to the morning
Morning time
Coffee in the morning
I cannot sleep now the day has come
I need coffee in the evening
I have this time I should get something done
But I’m so tired
I’m dreaming something
The light shines
The day is coming now
Fascinated by the rhythm of the cycle
I’m fascinated by the turning of the planets
I’m fascinated by the energy in sunlight
In sunlight lies our lives
And it’s legal, legal sunlight
And it’s pouring, pouring sunshine down
And then I think of my father
Rising up right behind midnight
Get a call without warning
Go to work, it’s three in the morning
He’s rising, he beat the daylight
Morning, morning time
Coffee in the morning
I cannot sleep now the day has come
I need coffee in the evening
I have this time I should get something done
But I’m so tired
I’m dreaming something
The light shines
The day is coming now
I have lived on the side
Now and then in touch with the morning
I wanna live in that place
All my soul ready for morning
All my soul ready
All my soul checked, ready
