"Ruin's Ravaged Roses" continues the Aurelia/Lira escape thread. Lira is the guide and shield here, clamping a hand over Aurelia's mouth, pressing her into cover, and leading her through pipes, corpse-water, and coded knocks toward Cain's sterile interior.

The song matters because it gives the Relay world a rare form of care that is not soft. Lira's protection is tactical, dirty, and urgent, while Cain's arrival shifts the scene from pursuit into a new kind of bodily scrutiny: the fugitives are safe from the hunters, but not yet free from being read as material.

Music, arrangements and lyrics: Andre Willowisp. Vocals: Eira Nova. Artwork: SURVIVORIA.

My heart slammed against my ribs
As heavy boots echoed
Through the grate above
Voices slicing the air
Like cold blades
They wanted us alive
Especially her
The one who led me
Through this nightmare

Lira's hand clamped
Over my mouth
Pressing me into
The slimy wall
Her body a shield
Against the terror
Clawing up my throat

I froze
A trembling shadow
The faint glow
Of our seals betraying us
Like cursed lanterns
In the abyss

The spotlight danced
Too close
Illuminating horrors
I dared not imagine
And I fought the urge
To scream
My breath a prisoner
In my lungs

Time stretched
Into eternity
A viscous torment
Until the footsteps
Faded into silence
Leaving only
The drip of unseen water

Lira released me
Her whisper
A fragile anchor
They knew where we'd been
But not where we fled

We crawled
Through narrow pipes
The metal slick
With fungi that clung
Like accusing fingers
My knees raw
And aching
In the fetid gloom

Then came
The graveyard lake
Bloated corpses bobbing
In mutation's embrace
Their swollen faces
Staring back
And bile rose unbidden
Burning my silence

We reached
The rusted door
Lira's knocks
A secret rhythm
Echoing my pounding pulse

A mechanical voice
Demanded our price
Cold and indifferent
Like the void
We'd escaped

Lira offered
A legend
Fresh and warm
And the door groaned open
To blinding sterility
Air thick with antiseptics
That spun my head

There he stood
Cain, the flesh sculptor
His insect like eyes
Dissecting me
Not my nakedness
But the scars etched deeper
The fear quivering
In my veins

His words cut
Like a scalpel
We were drowned rats
Not legends
And shame flushed
Through me
Hot and unrelenting

Yet in that gaze
I felt the stir
Of something unbreakable
A spark amid the dread

As we stepped inside
The world above
Seemed a distant scream
But the hunt's shadow
Lingered
Coiling in my soul x
