been sitting in front of the screens and typing keyboard too much, need to get out more, how tough

Went to see the doctor, told her, “Something’s going on, I get dizzy round the ladies,
then my good sense is gone. I’m not sick, I’m just awkward, got a funny little spin.”
She smiled and said, “Well, fella, when’d you last go out again?” Oh, Lady Doc, I’ll take your advice,
Get out of the house, roll the dice. Find me a jam where the shy can begin, Maybe I’ll meet somebody—and play my way in.
She asked me how I spend my days; I said, “I make up tunes, At the piano, chasing riff ideas from morning into noon.
I’ve played in bands and played alone, I’ve got a hundred songs, But when a pretty woman says hello, my cool goes missing fast.”
Oh, Lady Doc, I’ll take your advice, Get out of the house, roll the dice. Find me a jam where the shy can begin, Maybe I’ll meet somebody—and play my way in.
“My best friend is this piano, then the keyboard on my desk, Most of my connections live online, I’ll have to just confess
I used to hit the local jams, then somehow quit the scene, Got tangled up in screens and tabs and forgot what outings mean.”
She said, “Go find a local haunt, let the players call a tune. You don’t have to charm the whole room; just get out there soon.”
I said, “All right, Doc, you’ve got me. I’ll give that plan a try. And if I freeze when someone smiles, I’ll let the piano reply.”
Oh, Lady Doc, I’ll take your advice, Get out of the house, roll the dice. Find me a jam where the shy can begin, Maybe I’ll meet somebody—and play my way in.
Oh, Lady Doc, I’m stepping outside, With a tune in my pocket and a little more pride. Find me a jam where the good times begin, Maybe I’ll meet somebody—and play my way in.
Thank you, Lady Doc, I’ll see you around, Next time I’m dizzy, I’ll be dizzy in town.
