A live, lush vocal and acoustic guitar, with a beautiful flute solo in the middle. Dreamy imagery and romantic poetry.

Written, performed, and produced by Tom O'Brien

I set out with the intention of writing something beautiful in an old-fashioned kind of way. So, as soon as I played the first two chords, it sounded like the guitar was saying, "I dreamed," and then the whole dream concept started to take form. I wanted it to be a song that wandered, and didn't repeat the same old chords over and over. I wanted it to be musically interesting - a mix of familiarity and novelty. And the music just seemed to call for romantic lyrics.
I dreamed on the night I met you
That someday you'd be mine
And somewhere deep
Within my sleep -
A slumber soft and fine
I dreamed I was flying
And you were the wind
That sang to me over
And over again
I dreamed of a heaven
I'll never forget
Cuz you let me in on the
Night that we met

And the days up till then
Were some kind of pretend
And the dreams that I dreamed
Weren't as real as they seemed

Some dreams don't amount to nothing
While other dreams come true
And all my dreams
Came true it seems
The night I looked at you
Some dreams last forever
Like the one that we're in
That plays itself over
And over again
The dreams of two lovers
Who watched the moon set
As stars filled our eyes on the
Night that we met x

RKR - Rhythm Kings Radio
Peter Paul and Mary meet Simon and Garfunkel. Is that a recorder? My god I’m back in the 70s again. Stoned. Raw expressions. A guitar and a soulful song. Stupendous.

Auld Lang Sign
Fun song, recalls the atmosphere in "Casablanca", when Sam plays "As Times Goes By", the flute rocks, kudos...
