SA/BO - The Russian Ozzy

They are "new blood" from the East! It will be great international integration from the East to the West and back!
All members in SA/BO have at least 10 years experience in music branch, working both as studio musicians and band members in different groups.
They sing their own songs in english and russian language.
SA/BO's musicians have played in different bands as upwarming bands for such groups as Whitesnake, Iron Maiden, Metallica in Estonian and Ukraine, Motorhead, Manowar, Overkill, Napalm Death. In august 2003 SA/BO have played with Guano Apes, in november 2003 - with Def Leppard, in november 2004 - with W.A.S.P.
SA/BO is Sergei Abolymov - vocal, Tarvo Valm - guitar, Rene Piirkop - guitar, Marko Atso - drums and Indrek Kasesalu - bass guitar.
In January 1998, the second single came out, this time with three songs.
In July 1999 it was time to release the first album, with 14 songs, all in Russian.
The album was recorded in Tallinn and Matrix audio studio had a hectic month to work on it.
Album "Love kills" where produced by Sergei Abolхmov and Tarvo Valm By style - the music is a mix of heavy metal and hard'nheavy. It has a touch of Metallic and Ozzy Osbourne. People call it "The Russian Ozzy".
From the very beginning neither Estonian or Russian, but international rock traditions have guided the choice of music, and "Love kills" is an excellent example of that attitude. The album received high points from critics. In particular the quality of the sound and the technical solutions was at the high, so called western level, but even the musicians professionalism gained praise.
Abolymov and Valm compose the music, and their concept is very simple: Abolymov ads his melodical vocals to Valm's hardcore guitar sound. The result is music loved even by persons who otherwise don't listen to hard rock. The resemblance with hard rock is a result of arrangement. Almost all songs are easily played on an acoustic guitar. Sergei Abolymov writes the song texts and gives them special attention. They are all "100% human" and have nothing evil in them; most people feel that the texts are understandable and seem close to heart. The album also includes two covers.
One of them "You bastard!" is originally known as "She goes down" by the group Gotthard. The second is Beatles' well known "Come together", loved and played by most different kind of groups.
Today, a new album is in agenda, with such covers as Black Sabbath, Kiss, Deep Purple, Alice Cooper etc.
SA/BO has 3 videos: "I'm playing hard rock", "Song of Junky" and video from live-show "All the world belong to you.
"I'm playing hard rock" was mounted 1998 by video clips from live concerts and from following masses in rage. The material was taped with different cameras from different focuses, and gives the feeling of being there for real. The second video "Song of Junky" was recorded and mounted in September 1999 in Tallinn. The third was recorded in Latvia international festival "Valmiera rock"
SA/BO released also 2 caver-versions in their style: Judas Priest's "You've Got Another Thing Coming" and Madonna's "Music"
