Terri Massengill is a singer/songwriter from Graysville, TN. She is originally from Ohio, living in Florida for a short time, before moving to Tennessee in 1986. She has always had a passion for writing poems and short stories.
In June of 2004, she bought her husband (Jimmy) a guitar for Father's Day. It was something he always wanted to learn how to play. Well, he lost interest quickly, but not Terri.
She searched the internet for help and taught herself how to play. Once she learned the basics, she began to write songs.
Her father (Roger Drumm) sang for his church group "A Wing and a Prayer" and had a CD released in 2006 called "Saved by Grace". He never got to hear the finished product, as he died of a heart attack just before its release.
Her style is unique. Some say it is Gospel, some have said it is Country Christian, some have even said it a mix of Contemporary, Country and Gospel.
The Lord has blessed her with a talent, of "touching the lives of others with the gift of music", hence the the name of her ministry, "Touching Lives Ministry". To date, she has written over 40 songs, 8 of which will be on her first CD, which should be released sometime in early 2008.
"There are angels watching" is the first song completed and a favorite to many. It is a reminder that Angels really do watch over all of us.
We will be uploading more songs as they become available. For more information on booking Terri Massengill for your events, please go to her website at:
