Singer/songwriter and pianist, Adrina Thorpe, isn’t your typical garage band singer. Her style reflects the softer side of music, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t shake people up. Many who have purchased her album have labeled it “addictive”, and during solo performances she has brought tears out of the most stoic of souls. Adrina’s music is inspired by many artists on all ends of the musical spectrum, although her all-time favorite artist is Sarah Mclachlan (with Coldplay taking a close 2nd). On the album, “elusive”, Adrina's delicate piano melodies and lush vocals weave in and out of each other, drifting amid the punchy bass and drum lines. Like paper-thin china…like sunrise on the grey ocean waves...Adrina's melodies captivate listeners with their distinct beauty.

Adrina has been writing songs almost as long as she can remember. They just come… Her first song was written on a rainy car ride home when she was seven. "All I can remember is looking through the foggy streaked window at little bursts of light outside in the pitch black sky, hearing the sound of the car's engine, and coming up with a song that brought me to tears that night. It was a song about a friend of mine who left our school without ever telling me goodbye. I think from that day on, I’ve always loved tearjerker songs the best. But I do love all good songs. What defines good to me is whether or not a song moves me. And I truly am a lover of all styles of music.”

Adrina's musical experience is varied. She spent her childhood and teens studying classical piano in Orange County. Since then, her music has taken a new spin, although you can hear bits of classical influence in the piano playing. She spent some time touring with a band before deciding to take the solo route. With a steadily growing collection of songs, she has been performing all over Southern California. She is excited about promoting the full-length album she just finished with producers Dave Bassett (producing credits with Lisa Loeb, Joe Bonamassa, Justincase, etc.) and Phil Swann (producing credits with Helen Slater, Phil Christie, etc.). "I feel really privileged to have been able to work with these guys. when you look at the list of people they've worked with, it's amazing." "Adrina's going to make some noise in this racket everybody. Listen to her music and tell me I'm wrong...I dare you." ~ Phil Swann
