Sunrise EP
Hello,
Maybe you know us. We’ve been here a while. Since 2009 when it was still called IAC. Maybe not. But this site has always been like a homebase for us. After a 25 year dormancy we’re relasing our first EP Sunrise, lovingly mixed and engineered by Mike Lance who you may know as well. It’s seven songs - three of them up and released as singles in the last year - four still unreleased. It’s coming out December 5th but the plan is to let them loose here a bit early. The first of the unreleased tracks is up - a skate punk song called Overgrown Infant. A left over relic from 1996. It was originally a Swank song (who you can hear here as well) that never got recorded or released so in a way it’s almost proper 90s punk. Hope you like it. More to come.

We’ve let loose the second of four unreleased tracks. This one digs farther into the past. The song is called Immortality and it was originally recorded by my old band CRAgmatic Pope in 1995 when I was 16 years old. Resurrecting it now 30 years later it sounds fresh and new. New harmonies and backups by our good friend Stabby The Doll and Mike Lance’s slick production elevate the song far beyond my original expectations for it. I hope you like it.

This is an important song to me. Shane taught me to play it in the early sessions of a project that would become The Sky Hits The Ground in 2009, and it's been a favourite ever since. It existed long prior, but seeing it develop into the juggernaut as presented here is a high point in my musical endeavors.

Well we're less than 5 hours to release and I want to get everything up at IMP so up go the last two tracks. Carlo's Revenge a bitchin' guitar based instrumental and Might As Well Fucking Dance to make you groove and shake your rump. Hope you enjoy our new stuff. Let us know what you think.

Nothing I like more about indie music than seeing folks excited about releasing new songs.
