Originally from Italy, Virma moved to New York City at the age of 19. Already a dancer, after winning a scholarship at Steps on Broadway Dance Studios in Manhattan, she started to take vocal classes under the guidance of Craig Derry (www.myspace.com/craigderry) and Clurel Henderson, @ Progressive Music Studio, in Times Square. In October 2005, Virma starts developing her own style. She will start recording for the first time, her own songs, supported by amazing singers, musicians and producers (David Aaron, Adriano Morez, Glenn Grossman, Mike Machines).
At the moment Virma keeps dancing, writing, recording and playing guitar. She is working on her first demo album.
Virma has also performed at different venues in the City, but last summer she had to break her first band up. She is taking now a lil' time to get her material and performance together and looking for new band members for the "Virma Music Project".







My music is an emotional release, a way to express myself, my ideas about life, people and different situations.
My lyrics talk about "the real stuff", I also talk about love, but I just don't like to always talk about broken hearts or betrayal.
I believe that there's a lot more around me that deserves much more attention.

I don't like to label my sound, cause my style and ideas are constantly changing and i'm always open to new influences.

So far, according to what I've heard from whoever listened to my material, i could write: pop rock, alternative, funk, soul, acoustic.
My voice might remind you of Avril Lavigne, Dolores O'Riordan (The Cranberries), Alanis Morissette,.... but honestly speaking I know I only sound like MYSELF.
