Fresh, powerful pop with hints back to Fleetwood Mac and the voice of Sade….
Something Sally takes the best from the old wrapped in a brand new suit.

The sound of Something Sally is unlike anything you’ve heard before; it’s new yet retro, original yet strangely familiar.
Despite spending the better half of their musical life in blustery Liverpool, Something Sally has distinct warmth in their music.
In 2002, the three friends packed their bags and moved from their home country Norway to the UK to broaden their musical horizon. Four years and three bands later they have a unique sound and fans all over the world.

With the acoustic guitar as the foundation of their arrangements, Something Sally creates a new language of music by mixing the organic with mechanic; real instruments with vintage synthesizers and samples.

“Prince goes country” – Eddie Lundon, front man and songwriter of China Crisis.

Honest, catchy melodies and a playful approach to mix musical styles and genres make their songs never predictable, but thrilling to both the ear and mind.
In July 2005 their song “Tip Of My Tongue” was awarded best song both musically and lyrically in music-magazine Songlink.

Live, the band is both energetic and charming, and with the enchanting and characteristic voice of Sally, it is hard not to be mesmerized. With additional musicians on drums and keys, Something Sally delivers a thrilling show and great musicianship.
Having held numerous concerts in many of the larger live-venues both in their current hometown Liverpool and Oslo (Norway), and also recently in Madrid (Spain) and London (UK), they are a favoured live band, and their fan base continues to expand.

Both with interest shown from Europe and the US, and having received airplay on BBC Radio, 2006 will be a big year for Something Sally.
In March, they began working with Norwegian producer/composer Stein Berge Svendsen and in June, they signed with the Norwegian/British record label daWorks Records and released their first single “Sally Can’t Wait”, featured in the July’06 edition of the music magazine Music Week, as one of Norway’s great music exports.
They are now working on finishing their debut album before the end of the year.
