Dessy is an award winning singer and composer, known throughout Europe. She has anchored her own television show at the BNT, and participated in the highest rated program on BTV – the “Slavi’s Show”. She has performed in front of audiences exceeding 50,000 people, including such high profile events as the Easter Concert (2003), and the New Years Concerts (2002 and 2003) at the National Palace of Culture in Sofia. As lead singer of the Ku-Ku-Band and the “Slavi’s Show” during 3 years, her performances have reached millions of people, and are showcased in 3 CDs recorded with those artists: Prima Patriot (2004), Vox Populi (2003) and The New Barbarians (2001).

Through high-profile concerts at London’s Royal Albert Hall, with the ""Bulgarian Legend"" DanceShow (2004), and at the Astoria Hall with Ku-Ku Band Orchestra (2004), she has attracted much attention from the public and press.

Ms. Dobreva also starred in a 3-hour program on the Bulgarian National TV (BNT), which was broadcast via satellite to more than 50 countries worldwide – including the USA and Canada. In this show she introduced the Bulgarian culture to millions of viewers, and promoted the many achievements of the modern Bulgarian society.

In May 2005, Dessy was presented an award from the Bulgarian Government for her participation in the concert for the Day of the Bulgarian Culture and Arts* at Boston’s Regent Theatre. In this show she performed with as other stars of the Bulgarian music such as Valya Balkanska**, Vassil Naydenov and the Bulgarian “Beatles” – the band “Shrurcite”.

Dessy had the chance to meet with world-wide famous celebrities and to perform with the most famous singers and bands like - Army Of Lovers, Wu-Tang Clan, Dream Theatre, Touch And Go, Lou Vega, Lutrisha McNeil, Glenn Hughes (lead vocal of Deep Purple, Black Sabbath), David Coverdale (lead vocal of Deep Purple, Whitesnake), Joe Lynn Turner (lead vocal of Rainbow, Deep Purple), the Italian stars Zuccero and Al Bano, the sexiest string quartet in the world BOND, the musicians from Laureate, the stars of dance music Dario G and Deja-Vu, the front man of Supermax Kurt Hauenstein, the British dance groups Stereo MC's and Moloko, the vocal quartet Manhattan Transfer, the British jazz group Incognito.

Dessy has sang congratulation songs to Jean Claude Van Dame, Alberto Tomba (Olympic and World Ski champion), Ray Liotta, Angie Everhart, Billy Zane, John Rees Davis, Leonor Varela, Victoria Silvstedt, Michele Placido, Patricia Velasquez, Luciano Benetton, Stephen Baldwin, Carl Lewis (Olympic and World Champion in Jumping and Running), Lorenzo Lamas, Tomas Arana, Michail Gorbachev (President of Russia), Shimon Peres, Tony Palmer (Sony Music), Bob Miller (Governor of Nevada, USA), Andrei Konchalovski, Yuri Luzhkov (Mayor of Moscow), etc.

The voice of Dessy Dobreva aired by L.A. Radio!

Boston, MA – November 29, 2005 - The unthinkable already happened for the young Bulgarian pop star – after only 7 months in the US, she succeeded to be on the playlists of the L.A. Indie 104 station – both on air and through the Internet. Recorded in English and Bulgarian during the last few months of her stay in Berklee College of Music in Boston, the songs are a new expression of her talent – showcasing not only her great voice, but also her talent as a songwriter.

Dessy already called her supporters to vote for her songs on the website of the station (http://indie104.com). Many of her Bulgarian fans hope that with their participation in the requests for her songs, their idol will rise to the top 10.
