"...a band from the unlikely wilds of Horsham that we have long championed and drooled over. threewheeler make a gorgeous sound that most who hear them struggle to tag. The most convenient de_scription is 'chamber-pop', due to the permanent presence of strings in their stunning songs, but even that does not present the whole story.

This fast-rising band is based around the richly talented and dashingly attractive foursome of DENNY GRAY (vocals / acoustic guitar / melodica / percussion), STEVE ANTHONY (vocals / acoustic guitar / piano / harmonica / percussion), ROBIN BUSHELL (violin) and MELANIE WELLS (cello). They are joined by GARY HOLDER (upright bass). Amongst many interesting facts we could impart concerning threewheeler is that Steve is a master carpenter, that Robin has played in symphony orchestras of international repute in her native Australia, and that DAVID GILMOUR is something of a fan.

And what a sublime, often heartbreaking sound it is that these guys and gals make. There are elements of LAMBCHOP'S grander compositions, BEN FOLD'S more tender moments; the delicate folk and 'Englishness' of NICK DRAKE and the melodic, cinematic sweep of BECK'S Sea Change album, but their sound is certainly very much their own.

threewheeler has played for us before, most notably bringing the house down at Sadstock 1 - but that generally seems to be the case whenever and wherever they play. One such great live performance and an airing of their self-released (2005), 7 song mini album Listen To Yourself was all it took for the good folk at Lime Records to snap up a band they see as having a huge future.

Currently working on their debut full length album, due out this year, threewheeler is a band we confidently predict you will be seeing a great deal more of as time goes on. Many agree, including Juice FM / Totally Radio, who voted them the best local band of 2004. We are delighted to have them back with the dreamy thing they do..."
