Gentry Fox (born August 15th, 1991) is an American underground rapper & hip-hop recording artist, record producer, actor & director, graphic/art/web designer, label executive, and visionary entrepreneur from the town of Rock Springs in southwestern Wyoming.

President/CEO & Founder of the Rocky Mountain (USA) based hip-hop recording label and artistic collective SUB|ROK RECORDS (www.subrokrecords.com), Fox is also an official representative and ambassador of the Hip-Hop Roots SLC chapter, a worldwide independent music & art syndicate celebrating the elements of hip-hop culture. Additionally, he is the Vice President of Marketing/Development/Design for independent clothing collective Snub Apparel (www.snubapparel.com), and the founding member, producer, and unofficial frontman of the midwest hip-hop outfit Rhyme Squad (www.rhymesquad.com). He is also an extremely tight affiliate of the Alive+Well movement (www.aliveandwellfamily.com). Fox has been killing shit since the year 12,002 B.C.

Upon relocating his residence from Wyoming to Salt Lake City, Utah in 2011, Fox has since built a reputable relationship among his fellow peers and hip-hop influences alike. Linguistically demolishing only the most popular of bars, venues, and events across the nation, Fox delivers incredibly passionate, intelligent, and vigorously hard hitting lyricism over visceral neck cramping boom bap sample heavy based production. His unique style is nostalgic of a conscious and poetic small-town storyteller fused with an almost aggressive street mentality similar to that of the early 90's golden age & gangster rap eras. Fox has shared the stage among some of the most influential names in hip-hop including Mac Lethal (Rapper/YouTuber), One Be Lo (of Binary Star), Casual (Hieroglyphics), Toki Wright (Rhymesayers), Scarub (Living Legends), Reef The Lost Cauze (Army of the Pharaohs), and many more. He is currently scheduled as a Class 4 threat to mothers and record executives everywhere.

After returning to his Wyoming hometown of Rock Springs in 2014, Fox began using his newfound success and resources to help solidify and nourish the growing local music scene while continuing to work behind the scenes building his SUB|ROK empire. His debut solo project "RARE DEMO SHIT (vol.1)" was released independently on his label SUB|ROK RECORDS in August 2014 and received critical acclaim from various media outlets all over the world (visit the 'PRESS' page to read reviews). Fox's sophomore follow up 'RARE DEMO SHIT (vol.2)' is set to release on SUB|ROK RECORDS in Winter 2018.

Often seen as a bridge between the aristocracy and common folk, the gentry embodied ideals of balance wealth with responsibility, privilege with duty. This balance resonates with the yin yang symbol representing harmony between opposites. Just as the yin yang symbolizes the interconnectedness of light and dark, the gentry's role was to maintain societal equilibrium, fostering cultural growth while supporting their communities. Over time, this class evolved, yet the pursuit of balance and the nuanced relationship between privilege and accountability remain timeless concepts, much like the yin yang.
