Paul Renna has been working in the music industry for the last 17 years. His soulful sound is a reflection of the passion he feels in his music. Beginning his professional career in Dallas, TX at the age of 17, he was a regular performer in the Deep Ellum music scene. Fronting the band Unknown Figures, he and his band gained popularity during the years they worked the Deep Ellum venues opening for band's like Tripping Daisies and Jackopierce. Upon graduation, Paul went solo for a year continuing to work the same venues. His opportunity to move to Austin, TX came in 1992. Austin, being the nomadic environment and music capital of the Southwest, enticed a new beginning in Paul's career. Fronting the band Rhythm Child, his band went on to become one of Austin's hottest live bands opening for such bands as The Ugly Americans, amongst others. After one live album, and a tour opening for Blues Traveler in Alaska, the band parted ways. Shortly thereafter Paul formed Jumptrain and also toured in Alaska. One album later the band again parted ways. His current band, King Zero, moved back to Dallas, TX from Austin in 2002. The band has been touring and recording nonstop ever since.
