Chrissy Amphlett and Divinyls are perhaps the most prominent rock act to ever come out of Australia. This band has produced literally an endless amount of memorable songs, and Chrissy's compelling stage presence captivates all who have ever seen her live or in performance videos. The roots of Divinyls began during a performance of a church choir when Amphlett's stool fell over and she became tangled up in the microphone cord. Her later longtime band mate Mark McEntee saw her continue to sing as she dragged the mic across the stage and decided he had to meet this singer. Divinyls became a household word with the worldwide hit I Touch Myself but listening to their CDs, you begin to realize just how many exceptional songs they've recorded.
