Konqistador deliver unsettling-uncompromising-avant garde-evil-electro-rock, delving in French Carnivale, German industrialism, Prussian spoken word, and the history of the Spanish Conquistadores-bridging new worlds with old, seeking the underground...there are no barriers to the intense diversity of their music and live show. 'I Don't Make A Sound' archives one exclusive night on the band's ""You'll Get Yours - Australian Tour' in December 2005. Available now thru iTunes. DVD out in early 2007 - stay tuned. 'COURAGE RIOT' Konqistador released their highly acclaimed 'Courage Riot' to Australian audiences in 2005. The album drew rave reviews as Konqistador soon became not 'the band' but rather 'that f@cking band' instead - that band that rocks with a Rasputin strangle spell - that band who's live industrial electro will shift your organs - that band whose music preaches in five foreign languages - that band who's building the silent army around you - that band who'll drop you to your knees. Left for leper. Konqistador began writing 'Courage Riot' in Istanbul followed by recording sessions in Melbourne, and Detroit. The band's lifeline and blood flow is travel. If they're not on the road, breaking new boundaries, battling new armies, seizing new territories - they are lifeless. 'Courage Riot' boasts a variety of street recordings and found sounds from Istanbul Ezan Prayers to Turkish street preachers, poets and spoken word. Konqistador continue their quest to conquer with international export ventures set to go for 2007-08. BUILD THE PYRE Konqistador are about to record their firey follow up album 'Electriker' due for release this 2007. Writing for the album began in Prague, Czech Republik. The band hired 'Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's' original apartment where they stationed themselves for two weeks for inspiration to take hold. Konqistador returned to Istanbul to continue production and filming of their upcoming DVD 'You'll Get Yours' but de-toured to North Africa towards the ancient pyramids of Siqarra and further East to battle the over populated streets and archive the recorded sounds of Cairo, Egypt. Here the final songs for 'Electriker' were born. Konqistador's new material is draped in victory armour where 'Courage Riot's' bloody battle left off. Konqistador dawn medieval, gutteral electro weaponry for their new record as their sound evolves towards Euro-electro industrial with their traditional Middle Eastern undertones. THE BATTLEGROUND The band will export their highly unique, multi-linguistic, industrial-electro diverse repertoire of revenge, vendettas, dignity, respect, torture, suicide and ancient medieval times to Indo-Europe for mass consumption. Konqistador showcased at this years Popkomm Musik Conference in Berlin, Germany to rave reviews and packed showcase venues. Koniqstador battled it out in Berlin amongst the heavy presence of avant-garde, punk and metal rockers. Again, Konqistador tap into exclusive and 'original' found sounds and recorded archives including, traditional Prussian choir hymns, Mennonite church hymns, spoken word from living Russian relatives and street sounds from Prague, Koln, Berlin Istanbul, Cairo and more. K-ARMY SURROUND Make the terror your own. The Konqistador 'K-Army' is building with a global network of bands, and general electro music worshipers, building and boiling a mass group of supporters. There is a new movement my Golden Crowned Label Lords. Retro rock is dead. We know it, we killed it. Now fall in line, there's a new movement of this nation. Make our electro-terror your own.
