MTV's Making of Da Band 3 1st season finalist La Femme NIKITA hails straight from the Lone Star State of Texas! Texarkana's Natasha Walton, code name: NIKITA had a natural love for music. Coming from a loving and very spiritual family, singing for the good Lord always came first. Natasha had been singing solos in church, performing in talent shows and writing her own songs since the age of 7. At the age of 13 Natasha started rapping, thus her alter ego NIKITA was born. It wasn't until in her later teen years she decided to take a chance at furthering her career by moving to the East Coast. New York, NY big city of dreams was her first choice being influinced by artists such as Mary J. Blige, Nas, The Notorious BIG., and Raekwon. NIKITA settled in East Orange, New Jersey, where she got a taste of the inner city street life. Moving to the East Coast was a major culture shock, and a huge transition for her, but she adapted quickly. Even though the East Coast was a big influence on her in terms of art and style, she still carries a respectable amount of southern hospitality which allows her to remain humble through it all. Even though she likes New York and all it has to offer, she insists that there no place like home. After Diddy's Making of Da Band 3 finals, NIKITA decided to move back to Texas. To date, La Femme NIKITA is back and forth between New York and Texas, putting the finishing touches on her album titled nom de code: NIKITA which will be independently released...
Ain't Nuthin' [Edited]
A dirty south anthem, bass banging rap single capable of leaving hip hop fans shaking, thugs with their jaws on the floor, shorties quivering, and suburban-kids feeling hip for a second or two, Ain’t Nuthin’ is as pure and easy as it sounds.
