"Lovers of great singer/songwriters will be delighted with the discovery of Kim Dellavedova's unique sound. With a dry and haunting voice, Kim draws the listener deeper into her intention, plunging them into a lilting musical world where fragments of her stories and characters unfold.""

Kim Dellavedova's musical foundations began in Country Victoria, Australia. The influential soundtrack to her early youth was a musical concoction of her father playing ragtime piano pieces and her brother playing the music 0f Django Reinhardt and Robert Johnson on guitar.

Tinkering on the piano from an early age and taking classical guitar lessons throughout her early teens, fueled her interest to start making up her own songs and musical pieces. Wanting a change of scene in 1995 Kim left the sandy, bush scrub of her home town and headed to the lush tropics of Kingston, Jamaica as an exchange student. After being accepted into the C.L.A.S.J course offered at the Edna Manely College of Arts in Kingston Kim studied under jazz guitarist Maurice Gordon.

Returning to Australia and making Melbourne her musical stomping ground Kim began performing her original songs as a singer/guitarist at local music venues. These beguiling performances swiftly generated a dedicated audience and the respect and support of Melbourne's musical community. Carl Pannuzzo (drums) and Sime Nugent (Harmonica and guitar) and Kim's brother Brett Dellavedova (bass) joined Kim's first band, Kim Dellavedova and the Aunties. This group went on to record Kim's first C.D release titled 'Sound' .

While juggling live performances at Australian venues and festivals Kim returned to university to study sound design. Wanting to delve deeper into the art of recording, Kim dedicated the next two years to her work as a sound designer for film/dance and theatre. A decision to begin the pre-production for a second album inspired a move away from the city. Taking a portable recording set up and her guitar for company she effectively disappeared for a summer. Happily trapped in a friends beach holiday house Kim recorded the skeletal bed that in the months to come would evolve into her second record, for want of a better word'.

Kim Dellavedova's City Chariot is completed by the presence of Phil Mcleod on double bass, cello and accordion and Phil Collings on drums. The record features Kim on vocals/guitar and piano.
