In the mid 80's when rock was all about the show Erick decided he needed to become a rock star, with the booze, the chicks, and the trashed hotel rooms. etc...

One of the founding members of Hippie Child (early 90's local legends), Erick left the group just before its transformation into FP2K, wich then transformed into The Las Vegas Crypt Keepers.

Since that time Erick has had much more training in the art of music, engineering, and production.

After his departure from Hippie Child, he decided to try to write on his own, so he created Bitter Sweet Defeat, wich only consisted of him. That brought allong many obstucles, considering he rented a small basement from his parents, and didnt own any drums, but he got some cheap software and released a couple of internet songs on a fake website. SURPRISE!!! You probably can still see listings here and there for an industrial song called Blood Doll that also got in the top ten of the song writting competion of that year. (wish i remembered that year ;) )

A few years went bu and Erick REALLY missed the live shows, the energy they put out, and that he recieved. So he got a new guitar rig, and looked around.

He saw an add in SEE mag, a local band with a cd needed a guitar player. Erick knew he should try, but knew he would hate playing cover songs, but hoped the group would click enough to start writting soon. HE WAS RIGHT!

So the the project Ozone Baby was created, with Steven Wolf (vocals), Gavin Shuys (bass), and Keith Guillard (drums).

After finding a second guitar player wich didnt work out, Erick thought he may as well step up to the plate and try
to be a single guitar player in a band for the first time. HE LOVED IT! So much
freedom...

But as time passed and a couple of poorly made demos got released the band got discouraged and disbanded.

Erick Lavigne was back in the same boat, alone with a truckload of tallent. Though he has written with others since (projects undiclosed due to the incomplete nature of them) he found himself running in circles.

Allas, a old friend popped into the horizon, Corey Johnson (former Hippie Child producewr and engineer. and remembered the talent Erick had to begin with, and gave him a amazing offer for studio time to do with whatever he wanted....

Bitter Sweet Defeat was alive again, and after a grueling year of learning the art of production, Erick not only has a solo cd out, but also got the boyz from Ozone Baby to reunite to record a load of songs that they loved so much. (22 and counting, should be out soon)
Oaone is not sure what theyll do with them, but should be cool ;)

About the same time, Erick got a call from an old friend, Shawn, drummer for Las Vegas Crypt Keepers (aka. FP2K, Hippie Child)
They needed a guitar player to fill a gig they had comming up. Erick feeling excited about the fact of reliving those glory dayz said yes, and after only 5 reahersals the new (though old) LVCK took to the stage, AND ROCKED THE PLACE!!!

But after a few amazing gigs, and friendships relived the group decided that some things never change, so the group disbannded after one hell of a good year.

So whats next for BSD (Erick Lavigne) ???

Now Erick is trying to expand his knoledge by building a home studio named
BSD Production Studios to try to help local acts that have a limited budget.

BSD Production Studios is now up and running, and you can listen to the samples on this website to hear the quality of work they can do for you, keep checking in once in a while for more updates...
