Perren Street Parade started life in London in 1986/1987 after an advert was placed in Melody Maker. Eight months of songwriting & rehearsing produced a 6 song demo produced by Tony Cohen (known for his work with The Birthday Party). The band had interest from Creation Records (Alan McGee's band Biff Bang Pow! used the same North London rehearsal studio). It all came to nothing and the band split with no gigs, no releases.

Move on two and half decades and the band have all gone their separate ways:

Claus Castenskiolds a successful painter and artist (Fall, Gun Club etc)

Phil Shoenfelt a successful solo artist and author. Peter played in some local bands made an album & gigged.

Colin went over a decade without picking up a musical instrument, joined a local band for a few years during which he was introduced to DAW's & computer music in general.

The "dynamic duo" had lost touch but reconnected via social media and got back together to record the Perren Street Parade's long over due debut album
"Selling The Family Silver", which was released to positive reviews in 2014. The band are hard at work on the follow up to "Selling The Family Silver." The new album called "The Looking Glass" is another slice of dream pop sounding supreme in both songwriting and production. This will be released late Autumn this year. We hope to have delivered an interesting and alternative album with "Selling" to the curent scene.
With the new album we will push the scene even further.
