The loveGods are a bunch of ex-prostitutes, hence the name.

Antipodean singer Déah vehemently denies this and claims that her love of God is the reason for their name, however she is a notorious liar.

They are all on the dole due to severe mental handicaps which are the result of excessive drug use in their teens. A good thing really or they couldn't devote their entire lives to rock and roll.

The music is bloody brilliant, kind of epic rock/grunge/blues. They could barely play their instruments when they first got together but now they are a f**king amazing live band. At times The loveGods can be inappropriate and a tad out there, but people seem to be very happy to pay hard earned money to see them losing the plot on stage.

They regularly fill 500 capacity stadiums which is a good thing really as it means they can afford to rent their own recording studio in Brighton. At present (2:37pm on Thursday) The loveGods are setting up microphones to record backing vocals for the twelfth song on their debut album which will be released late this year.

They also have a double EP ""Between Dogs and Wolves"" which is rather splendid and available for purchase from gigs and their website. If you don't have it you really should buy it as it is very nice indeed.

God knows how, but they have achieved an incredible amount of success including;

*Voted BBC Radio 1's Best Unsigned Band 2004
*Hailed by The Sunday Times as the ''Next Big Thing'
*Been in many expensive looking magazines like Italian Vogue and i-D
*Playing Glastonbury two years running (are you impressed yet?)

They have also supported decent bands like Franz Ferdinand, Ash, Nick Cave, The Darkness, The Magic Numbers, Alabama 3 etc. Toured with the Fun Lovin' Criminals and almost had affairs with really famous people who we're not allowed to mention.

Currently The loveGods reside in the very pretty and sunny seaside town of Brighton, UK. However, they would be delighted to move to NY, LA, France, or Australia.

I think for improved mental health you should play sonic exe and relax your mind better.

Having friends and family over for a visit is certainly made more cozy by the crackle of evening flames.
