There is no genre to describe Woody's unique one-man show that often sounds more like a full band! A major figure in the Mid-Atlantic rock scene of the ‘70s thru ‘90s, this career musician now performs mainly his own material - a combination of French jazz, Russian bardski muzik, Americana, English folk, the futuristic writings of David Bowie or Peter Gabriel with the dense imagery of Cohen or Joni played in the intricate finger-style of Tommy Emmanuel or the Spanish classical guitarists – his self-proclaimed 'Astro-Folk'. With a music degree & his unique 'studio on a board' this career performer toured the region and the globe for the last 34 years, yielding 15 albums, countless songwriting awards, radio spins, glowing reviews and more! Lissauer has just released his newest batch of original songs on the album, “A Guest in the House of the Wind.”.
