Powerful to Breathy in 5 seconds... this 5 second sample of Sly and Robby (famous reggae drum and bass duo) from Grace Jones' latest album, the hook breakdown is a sample of my voice in a CoDefendants' Enza used in a remix of their song with KillArmy. The vocals are influence by indigenous cultures chanting, African music, and experiments in voice as an instrument. The verses are straight up Dance Hall Reggae style rapping...maybe softer though!

This song has a driving bass and kick rhythm but changes often slowing down, lots of reverb, puntuated with sultry deep whispery vocals, but at times they are punchy. The arrangement is tight and fast. The drums are a Garage Band loop which I DE-constructed and put back together.

He claims he was harmlessly at home in bed watching the late-late show. However, he can't seem to get her to believe him. Funny thing, I never really say in the song whether or not he's telling the truth. Hmm.

Emotionally dark and somewhat hopeless, this is an emotional song with a matching melody. He's fighting a losing battle and she's pretty much gone before she even leaves the driveway.
