Reminiscin' about those great 45's playing in the jukebox at the Diner or the County Fair .. a coke and burger, french fries, candy floss, ice cream, soda pop, poodle skirts, Kewpie Dolls, Ferris wheels and the Tunnel of Love. Those were the days!

Hey Boba Lou
In the Summer 2017 issue of Blue Suede News, editor and publisher Marc Bristol said in his review of the CD album, 'Those Were The Days' by Neil w Young & The Hot Rod Stars that "Hey Boba Lou" - one of the tracks on the licensed cover song album - was a rockin' tune. Written by Robbie Robertson, Ronnie Hawkins and Jacqueline Magill, the song was on the 1959 LP album, "Mr. Dynamo" Ronnie Hawkins and the Hawks. added to station 10/5/2017 12:05:21 AM

Summer Love
You send my memories of summer fun, music and romance rock 'n rollin' back to my teenage years with "Summer Love" Teresa. Congratulations on the wonderful music you've made and the mountains you've climbed. This is a great song ... sounds like it should have a Sun Records label!! Glad to have you in my jukebox. added to station 9/1/2008 12:43:31 AM

Spirit Of Rock'n'Roll. Sung by (Barry Brady)
Lawdy lawdy Miss Clawdy, what have I got here??? Did I just walk into Sam Phillips Sun Records studio in Memphis in the middle of a Carl Perkins Jerry Lee Lewis recording session?? Lawdy no, maybe I strolled into a 1959 time machine and I'm in the front row at an Alan Freed Rock 'n Roll concert at the Apollo Theater in New York. Well wherever I is, the doors to good old rock 'n roll just swung wide open. The lights on my old Wurlitzer are flashin' and dancin' and that big old 12" speaker is just a boomin' and pumpin' out the best rock 'n roll I've heard in a long, long time. "The Spirit of Rock 'n Roll" is hot hot hot folks, and I ain't puffin' no smoke!! Awesome chops Barry and dynamite backbeat rhythm and blues rock 'n roll. Grab your Gibsons and Fenders boys and girls, put your ragtops down and head on down to your nearest Bill Haley & The Comets High School Hop. Rock 'n roll will never die!! added to station 9/12/2008 3:45:02 AM

Walkin After Midnight
No jukebox worth its weight in Golden Oldies would be without a Patsy Cline song. I think I can remember hearing "Walkin' After Midnight" playing at the County Fair way back during those days when me and my girl were walkin' through the midway with big fluffy sticks of pink candy floss in our hands. Sounds great playin' here in my old jukebox too. added to station 9/1/2008 1:41:53 AM

Jackson
Well, anybody who knows anything about me knows that this is one song and two artists that my jukebox just wouldn't stand a cat's chance in .. well, wouldn't sound right without. There's nothing I can say about Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash that hasn't already been said a thousand times or more before, so I'll just simply say it is a special honor and endless pleasure to spin "Jackson" in my old Wurlitzer and to have Johnny and June grace my playlist. Amen!!! added to station 9/1/2008 1:50:33 AM

Sometimes
Raw, gutsy and awesome vocals and harmonies, smokin' music and consummate arrangement and production ... classic rock meets grunge rock here folks. Better still, the Fifties meets the Eighties and the mix is steel hard, powerful, raunchy and electrifying. "Sometimes" is one 'hot wax' kick butt tune from beginning to end!!! No jukebox worth its pound of salt should be without it!! added to station 10/12/2008 7:25:28 PM

Lately
My old jukebox has been rocking back and forth here with this great song spinning around and around hanging onto this cool groove. Yeah Dylan, you sure got your mojo workin' here my friend ... upbeat rockabilly, toe-tapping honky-tonking melody, whiskey smooth vocals, swingin' rhythm with a dash of the Jack Daniel blues and a round on- the-house of good ol' Memphis soul ... great story, great music, great production, great song, great artist. Five stars!! Top down sunny day wind in your hair road movie easyriding feeling music. I love it!! added to station 1/11/2010 2:51:46 AM

Hard to Find (Studio take)
Whoo-hooo!!! My old Wurlitzer just got a bleeping shot of 1960's adrenaline with pHLeGm on lead vocals and Conversation Suicide "doin' their thang" - says the main man from Arizona - as him and the band pair up here on this great tune "Hard to Find (Studio take)". Echoes of "I Saw Her Standing There" are ringin' and rockin' out of that big speaker giving new life to my old juke. Awesome guys!!! Bleepin' Awesome!!! added to station 5/10/2010 2:21:59 AM

Jackson Was Jumpin'
You've got my old Wurlitzer just a-jumpin' too Carl .. er, I mean Rayburn. Lordy, I feel like loading my Fender and Gibson in the back seat of my old convertible and point her hood ornament straight for Memphis Tennessee. Great song Rayburn. I'm honored to spin your tune here in my old jukebox!! added to station 9/1/2008 1:01:11 AM

One Way Ticket
Now we're talkin' Rockabilly Country the way I remember hearing it when I was playing three songs for a quarter in the jukebox at the bowling alley during my high school lunch hours in the late 1950's. I've just found you here Jerry and I tell you, you just made my day with your "One Way Ticket"!!! And you've got traces of Grand Old Opry dust on your boots too - now me and my old 1956 Wurlitzer here are truly honored!! added to station 9/8/2008 12:51:50 AM
