Connecticut Artists
If you're a Connecticut artist (or know of one here on IAC), let me know and I'll add you. Having lived in state, passed through the state or having heard of the state do not count. Your artist page must identify your location as Connecticut.
The idea is to introduce local musicians to one another's music and hopefully let you know that you're not alone. And to let local or visiting listeners know where they can find some excellent music.
I was inspired to start this station after stopping in to hear The Rivergods in New London and was treated to one fine set by some excellent musicians. Meeting the band was icing on the cake.
Thanks, Glenn from Lars Mars

Coffee In Connecticut
Once again I ignore my rules to include a song. But it's a lovely song, beautifully performed. Melissa's story is truly heartwarming.. I won't give it away, but rather urge you to visit her page to read it and enjoy some more wonderful music. Welcome! added to station 7/15/2012 5:43:22 AM

Hugh Hamilton
Glen Hill (with Eric Lichter)
So how does Hugh qualify? Even if there wasn't a reason (read on), I've never been one for rules. But this station does have one rule, and this song (and one other by him) does fit. Hugh recorded this in our home town at Eric's Dirt Floor Studio. He trekked up from PA to do this one, and that counts... a belated welcome, Hugh! added to station 1/27/2009 4:31:22 AM

"Shadow In Time"
Something akin to a supergroup of studio musicians, Starcina puts together tracks from first play to full production in 60 - 90 minutes. And I thought we were fast! From the New Britain (pronounced locally as New Brih Anh) area Starcina plays big! added to station 3/14/2021 12:18:46 AM

UNtitled - Vincent Tuckwood
Vincent is a New London writer, composer, musician and all around cool guy. I had the pleasure of hearing him with his old band Monkey 68 and thoroughly enjoyed a great night of music. This was one of my favorite tunes from that night and I'm glad he's kept it. This acoustic solo version is wonderful too. Life as a movie. Art imitates life which becomes life as art. And it perfectly portrays Vincent. Thanks. added to station 2/28/2018 2:04:08 AM

RODNEY WASHBURN
I never said
Rod used to be in Clinton, where our "band house" once was. Now he's in Old Saybrook where the River meets the Sound. He's also playing live in Ivoryton where we spent lots of time. He's warming up for an upcoming recording session. Looks like I'll have to make the trip, as the two songs that are here are both excellent. added to station 1/27/2009 4:19:59 AM

It's always nice to see a homeboy do well. Eric was recommended by both Hugh and Mike.. high praises indeed. A great song and performance. His bio brings us all back home to Chester, where we grew up too. added to station 1/15/2008 8:47:44 PM

The folks who inspired this station, the Rivergods put on a great show. I heartily recommend that if you're in the area, stop in and catch a show.
