Sweet slow guitar and vocal lovesong

Story of two lovers who are going in different directions
I guess you know when the whistle blows
And the train rolls away
I'm gonna go where the winter snows
Hide your memory away
Like the wind in the evergreens
Whispering like a lover that you never see
Somehow you'll know
I love you so

Way up high on a mountainside
Where you can still see an eagle fly
Spread his wings and embrace the sky
Tell me baby have you ever heard an eagle fly?
Like the wind in the evergreens
Whispering like a lover that you never see
Somehow you'll know
I love you so

For a little while we had a sunny day
But little things down here below kept gettin in the way
Now it's time
There's nothing left to say
Cause girl I gotta go and now I know
You're gonna stay
If we're meant to be
You'll leave all this behind
And come away with me
But I want you to know
I love you so

I guess you know when the whistle blows
And the train rolls away
I'm gonna go where the winter snows
Hide your memory away
Like the wind in the evergreens
Whispering like a lover that you never see
Somehow you'll know
I love you so
I love you so
I love you so x

LEGENDARY MUSIC
As I sat here listening to John's beautiful song spinning on the player, I wondered if perhaps I could just gather up a basket full of all my best selections for adjectives and superlatives, shuffle them around like a deck of cards and then deal them out line by line here on the page ... I knew no matter how or which way they were dealt, they were all going to come up aces when it came to describing "Wind In The Evergreens". Well, here I am John, finally getting to your page. Life here just seems to get busier and busier with each passing day so it takes me longer and longer to come looking and listening. I pine for the midnight hour to roll around when I most often get to put my feet up here in the old cabin and head on over here looking for a new tune to put on one of my stations. It's one of those nights here, quiet and a little lonely on the inside, mid-winter signs of spring on the outside pulling at the heartstrings of lovers like spring always does, sleeping now under the stillness and darkness of night ... feels a lot like what I'm listening to right here in the quiet of my own silence ... your voice John is so wonderfully gentle and peaceful, wavering and pining its way beautifully through so very poignant and such perfectly crafted lyrics from beginning to end, painting a picture of your elusive lover in so many ways ... and that guitar - what can I say - from intro to outro this is sweet, sweet, sweet like a bluebird in flight, like sunshine at night. What a beautiful picture of love and music you leave the listener with John ... from beginning to end and back again ... aces everywhere ... just like "Wind In The Evergreens"... beautiful. Welcome to Legendary Music John.

All love stories don't end happily, but sometimes the memory is still sweet
