KIDS from NOWHERE/PISSED YOUTH RIOT/POLICE PROTEXION Medley

Kidz from Nowhere, music written by "Dooley" aka James Orr - Originally was an INSTRUMENTAL by Social Spit. The "Military" Intro was added by weAponX when Cliff Cunningham joined the fracas and added his words, which have become a kind of Anthem of the 80's.

"PISSED YOUTH RIOT" was actually the first "PUNK" song written by weAponX in 1979, using the Sex Pistols "Banner" style. This was one of the first songs S.S. played when they started playing in 1980- When weAponX joined Bruce "Scabs" Atwell, Bassist Russ Weber, and drummer "BRAIN" Watkins. This was the time when the basic sound of Social Spit was formed. PISSED YOUTH RIOT was written after reading an article in the newspaper about a bunch of kids in Switzerland, who, as a response to the police closing of their club, totally DESTROYED a WHOLE STREET in a business district of a major city in Switzerland- Hence, "Swiss Youth Riot". In order for the song to be applicable to the San Diego Punk Scene which had just "scene" the closure of the much-loved "Skeleton Klub" the title was changed to "PISSED YOUTH RIOT" and the song became our Response to the past POLICE KLOSURES of our beloved VENUES. "POLICE PROTEXION" was written by Jonny V and "Scabs" Atwell, Bruce had some good ideas for words- He had a great Johnny Rotten voice which was used to konk you over the head.

In 2005, Social Spit re-recorded these songs at Glenn Taylor's Studio in Lemon Grove: So here I present Cliff Cunningham and Jonny V joined by Dan "Skum" Fontana, Drums, and "Ugly" Lenny Bly, Bass - formerly of "Inciting Riots"
