ode to Bruce Lee, originally 7 minutes or so, due to listener constraints down to 2:45 or so,, bruce co-wrote the screenplays to many of his movies, wrote books about martial arts, won the Best Dancer in Hong Kong contest at age 18, colin mcgregor said "bruce is the greatest..."
Ballad Of Bruce Lee

The match on Han’s island features well known warriors,
really a recruiting tool, for Han’s thugs and couriers.
Bruce finds the underground tunnel, scores kidnapped
and shanghaied,
Bruce against 100, no one will realize
the little guy takes the big guy, if the little guy
keeps on coming.

‘Empty your mind...be like water my friend...
Water can flow or it can crash...
...it's a process of continuing growth...
Under the sky, under the heavens, there is but one family...’

LEGENDARY MUSIC II
With a unique intro emulating the sounds of the call to the stage and with the curtain rising over the opening scene, the ballad takes wings as Steve lyrically and vocally immerses himself into this movie-like production and picture - a 'Karateka' operatic audio screenplay written, produced, presented and performed by the consummate IAC /IMP poet laureate-philosopher, Steve April, complete with a kaleidoscope of sonant Bruce Leeisms from the Other Side of stage and screen through to the end of the outro, all in all giving me a new appreciation for this talented artist. Maybe a first for Steve … maybe not the last … but for sure a Classic the likes of which – if memory serves me correctly – not heard before from Steve. Well done, Steve!! Encore!! Encore!!
