This song is about self-reflection and becoming a better person so that one can mature into a better partner. The Church came to mind when I was writing this song and that's always a good thing. John Suchocki passes on the bass duty to newest Silent Boy Michael Click and the results are positive.
I fell into the sea of dizzy expectations.
Am I the one for you? I keep my eyes on the horizon.
I’m sunk without the last laugh.
Off keel without the last word.
And I know you see what’s going on.
I’m lost at sea but not quite a shipwrecked fool.

I can hear the songs of the sirens
beckoning me and leading me astray.
What if I could find my way home?
Would you greet me with a welcoming embrace?

I fell into the sea of unwanted self-reflection.
An icy cold baptism, the cleansing of this troubled soul
I’m finished with the seasick lies
And all those leaking alibis.
I hope you see what’s going on.
I’ve been lost at sea but now I’ve righted this ship.

I could hear the songs of the sirens
Beckoning me, failing to lead me astray.
The turbulence of humility
The white seagulls mean that dry land is ahead.

There’s no fear in my eyes!
There’s no fear in my eyes!
There’s no fear in my eyes!
There’s no fear in my eyes!
