In May of the year 2012 I received some devestating news. I recieved a phone call from my mother stating that my aunt had died. At the time I wasn't really just pursuing my passion of singing and music I was just working trying to maintain some bills. I was going through a time in my life where I was trying to find my place in the music business and my identity. When I heard the devestating news I begin to hurt inside. Not only did I lose someone close to me, but I lost my aunt, my other mother figure. Someone I truly loved and meant so much to me. As the days and months went by I slowly begin to deteriorate. I started getting sick more and my passion for music had left. I got laid off at work so I was drawing unemployment. It was just really bad for me. As the months went by I stayed locked away in my room. Producers would send tracks, send emails about working with me, and even set up studio time, but I was not in the mood. It took some time but I came around. So, one day I heard this beat that a friend of mine had made and I began to write. As I wrote I cried and as I cried I became happy. I became happy because everything I wanted to say to her and everything that I was experiencing at the time was coming out of me relieving me of the hurt. I began to remember all the good things she had done for me and how sweet my aunt was to people. How she inspired me and encouraged me to pursue my love for music. That's when I came up with the title of the song and that's when I knew my purpose in life. So I Thank her! I thank her for everything she has done for me and thank God for allowing me to meet such a wonderful person. This single, this song, is my love letter to her and her works. If you too, have lost a loved one reach out to some one about it, write about it, draw about it. Whatever your talents are use them to inspire people....BE AN INSPIRATION!
