Following in the family footsteps with a little help from Gran Melissa Marquais rediscovers her grandfather's music . Beautiful arrangements and smoky vocals make this an enjoyable album! When Melissa learned of her late Grandfathers trials and triumphs as a famous composer in the 1950's she was determined to bring them back to life. Her Grandfather, Ernest G. Schweikert and Lyricist Frank Reardon wrote for the likes of Billie Holiday, Sammy Davis Jr., Guy Lombardo, Carmen MaCrae, The Four Aces, Perry Como, Frank Sinatra, etc. Having not received any of the royalties owed to him, Ernest became so disheartened and angry that he threw away all of the musical compositions he had ever written and never spoke of it again.
