THAT FOOL
written by Mike Pilgermayer c.2011

So much anger in this room, and we can not turn it off.
How did we get to here so soon? and is it really worth the loss
of the trust that we once had, It gets harder to repair.
Such a long way down this path, It's time to turn it all around.

I don't want to be that fool again.
I don't want to be the one that says this is the end.
I don't want to be that fool again.

We are actors in this play, and we know our parts so well.
When the second act is done, close the curtain bid farewell.
And the victims of this crime re-enact the scene so clear,
That the evidence gets lost when we investigate.

I don't want to be that fool again.
I don't want to be the one that says this is the end.
I don't want to be that fool again.

The Wind is in the sail, but the anchor holds us fast.
Let's quickly cut these ropes so the storm won't break the mast.
But the ocean is so wide and it's hard for us to cross.
If the choice is to divide, call the search off all is lost.

I don't want to be that fool again.
I don't want to be the one that says this is the end.
I don't want to be that fool again.
I don't want to be that fool again.
I could not imagine us just only being friends.
I don't want to be that fool again. x
