Mistakes
written by Mike Pilgermayer c. 2011

Every time I make a mess out of my life I get to fix it right back up again.
No matter how tangled up it gets, I get to take the knots out of this line one at a time. and
Boy it sure gets old making the same mistakes over and over and over again.

I need to learn some new tricks of the trade, I need to avoid the general population.
I need to get my act together real fast, need to get some organization. cause'

Every time I make a mess out of my life I get to fix it right back up again.
No matter how tangled up it gets, I get to take the knots out of this line one at a time. and
Boy it sure gets old making the same mistakes over and over and over again.

Every day and every night I think about the time I never thought about the time,
I never thought about it.
But it's so simple, so simple, so easy, All I had to do was to never do it again.
But I keep falling in my own trap, set me up, set me up, I set myself up again.
And it's so simple, so simple, so easy, all I had to do was to never do it again.

Boy it sure gets old making the same mistakes over and over and over again.

The other night I found an old note I wrote to my baby, but never sent to her.
I was afraid that she would think I was dimented and crazy about the way I felt for her.
I got an envelope and stuck it in a certified, first class, ups, over night express.
And in the morning get a knock on my door and she says "Kiss me baby I'm so sorry
I won't hurt you any more.

Every time I make a mess out of my life I get to fix it right back up again.
No matter how tangled up it gets, I get to take the knots out of this line one at a time. and
Boy it sure gets old making the same mistakes over and over and over again. x
