This is an up tempo song with blues lyrics.

Produced by Mike Dooley and JC Burt. Recorded at JCB Studios, Manor, Texas.

This was the first song I ever wrote completely. I'd started and not finished plenty before this. I wrote it after a year of one bad thing after another happening to me. I continued working on it after things had changed and my life was getting better. I changed the lyrics then to be more about all the times in our life when we can feel lost. Like the first verse, where as a teenaged boy we can be so overwhelmed by the prospect of trying to muster up the courage to speak to the object of our affection that we become paralyzed......
I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO

Well here she comes walking in the room
She takes my breath away and I can hardly move
She’s in my fantasies every night and day
By the way
I’m not sure what to do. This is all so new.
No I don’t know what to do. I haven’t got a clue

Well here I go acting like a fool
You’d think that I would learn how to play it cool
All those sleepless nights, countless broken dreams
Yet it seems
I can’t believe it’s true. I was so in love with you
Now, I don’t know what to do. I haven’t got a clue

BRIDGE
Well all of my friends say that I’ll be alright
That I’m better off without you in my life
I still remember how good it could be
I guess that’s the difference between you and me
I can’t believe it’s true. No, I don’t know what to do

SOLO

Here they come walking in the room
It takes my breath away and I can hardly move
All my future plans torn apart by lies
And surprise
I didn’t have a clue, I still can’t believe it’s true?
But what’s a boy to do? I haven’t got a clue.
No I don’t know what to do. I don’t know what to do.

C'mon people, artists like this should NOT be ignored - he did everything right, produced a great song, explained his thinking, added the lyrics.... and was totally ignored. How can IMP succeed if we overlook great indie songs (this was the first he ever wrote) Look beyond your IMP peers, friends and yourself, listen to all the work contained in this song then add it to your playlist!
