There's a lot of stuff on this one. I started out with an African Chant, added a Bay Area House Beat, and then shoved in Pop/Reggae Verse's. Next I put some human beatbox and sang some soulful vocals in order to give it that all around the radio feel. It was a blast performing, producing and mixing this entire project. Enjoy!

All music and vocals written, arranged, produced and performed By Stoneman.

My wife and I we're on vacation in Cabo San Lucas in May (2010) and we went out dancing at a club. There was a crowd of people there from New York and all night long they were screaming New York to the rest of the crowd. They were a bit rowdy but they partied all night long. So did we! One of them noticed me and smiled at me while he screamed New York. I screamed back "Earth" and before I knew what was happening the whole crowd surrounded us screaming Earth! Earth! Earth! I was intrigued by the way solidarity was built in the room by uniting everyone under one banner. Thus, the idea for Unity, Represent Earth was born. I started writing and producing it as soon as we got home from vacation.

First thing was an African Chant in order to give it an ethnic feel. Then I dropped my patented Human Beat box beat on it and slammed a Cali Bay Area House beat on top of that. For the verses I went back to my funk/R&B/Pop roots in order to create tension. The release is the African/Beatbox/House bridge that gives it pop and then leads into a Black Eye Peas type of Rap session. The finale is a trip back to the bouncy bridge with some added Stoneman vocals to finish it off. It was a blast to write, produce and perform this song.
Unity, We represent earth
Unity, We represent earth

We all, are related, inhabitants of the world
We all, are connected, every man, boy woman and girl
Yet we kill and fight, and claim to be right but were wrong
We brought death and war, to our neighbors shores for too long

Unity, we represent earth
Unity, we represent earth

We all, have opinions, and religious faiths of our own
We all, have been guilty and have reasons we should atone
If we lift our hands and together dance we can live
As one world one beat, seeking love and peace and forgive

Unity, we represent earth
Unity, we represent earth

Clap Your Hands (repeat)

Get on your feet and let's dance, let's come together and lift up our hands
Let's get the party started here right now, if you don't know then I'll show you how
move your feet from side to side and get loose and shake it on down
I don't care what nation you're from or if you're Black, White Yellow or Brown
It's the U-N-I-T-Y, were all one people, one Sun one sky
we don't have to fight each other or die, we can have peace if we all just try
It's one world, one planet one people, and only love eradicates evil
You can still love the land of your birth, but understand now we all represent earth

One world in unity, one world in unity x

WARRIORS FOR CHANGE
just write music these days. I know I will never make a million bucks. I don't need a million bucks. My house is paid for now and my studio is my own personal place of creativity, reflection and musically orgasmic riffs on my guitar, keys, horns and voice. I don't care about being commercial. I just write whatever I feel. It's hard to be angry when you have almost everything you ever wanted. I earned this shit man. I fought my battles, won a few and lost a lot. Now it's your turn.
