Starting a new career at a later age may seem crazy yet all the same vulnerabilities are there as if you were young. I just wished I had an Angel to help me make the right decisions.

Produced, Engineered, Mastered by Craig Zurba at M.R& D Studios (Burnaby) BC (Canada)

Vocals & Background vocals: Carolyn Stewart
Background Vocals: Barb Steele
Piano: Craig Zurba
Guitars: Dave Corman
Bass: Pete Kazulin
Drums: Kyle Randomsky

I recorded this earlier as a Demo. After playing in a band for a little more than a year, the song had a few changes that I wanted to reflect in the new recording. Also, finally scraped the money together to put out an EP and this is one of the most popular songs I do. I hope you like the new version.
Angel on my Shoulder – (January 2006-02-18) Words & Music -Carolyn Stewart

Maybe I missed my chance
Maybe I closed my eyes too soon
Maybe my time has not yet come
Looking around at all the young faces
Funny how time has stolen traces …of a woman I knew
Question where I’m going just another fork in the road,
....sure could use some direction

I need an Angel on my shoulder to lead me to heaven
I need an Angel on my shoulder to lead me to heaven

Faced with trials, just want to simplify my life
Avoid the obstacles that stand in my way
Scared if I slow down hopes and dreams will disappear
....And that will be the end of my day.

I need an Angel on my shoulder to lead me to heaven
I need an Angel on my shoulder to lead me to heaven

I’m a woman yet a child inside
I need protection maybe a guiding light
It’s hard to stay strong when my weaknesses are great
I want to give up... ...give up this fight

I need an Angel on my shoulder to lead me to heaven
I need an Angel on my shoulder to lead me to heaven

What the Folk!
I Love Carolyn's singing, she has got that true real country feel with a twist of modern freshness to it but not contrived or anything that reeks of the new Nashville sound , I like the real true to roots vibe on this one. this is song that is worthy of the hitline and I would like to see this one on country radio cause it would really work well. Mellow at times but builds as it moves and she captures some great dynamics. fine musicianship and instrumentation. nicely produced, and the vocals stand out front which i really like....very fine song Carolyn
