LAID BACK LIFE I've learned the song 'Dives and Lazarus' from Martin Simpson. I love the tune: in all its melancholy it's very beautiful. I've originally heard the second song, 'Erin go bragh', sung by Dick Gaughan, who's my greatest folk influence and a role model in music and in fact, life as well. I'll never forget seeing him perform live at Hammersmith Irish Centre in November 2005. Erin Go Bragh is the very first Irish folk song I learnt, so this is where it all started.
