In this song I have likened temptation to the sea; and the song says how we must resist it for fear of drowning in it. Solo piano and voice are all that are on this track, though a more lush arrangement beckons. It's also the longest song so far at 4mins 44 and maybe needs to lose the first chorus.

Chorus
I will stand on the shore of Commitment,
Facing the pounding waves and the fizzing foam
Of this emotional ocean, this raging sea;
'Til the morning comes, and the tide retreats,
And drains every drop from me.

Verse 1
I can't remember,
I can't find the state of mind,
I can't be the man you left behind.
But I will love you
All the time that we're apart,
And I'll always keep you in my heart.

I'll remember the pledge that I made,
So I'll stand at the world's edge being flayed;
When will you come, to salve and remind me?

Chorus
I will stand on the shore of Commitment,
Facing the pounding waves and the fizzing foam
Of this emotional ocean, this raging sea;
'Til the morning comes, and the tide retreats,
And drains every drop from me.

Verse 2
The earth moves,
The sand seeps through my toes:
Undermines me, redefines me as it flows.
'But I still love you'
I cry into the whistling wind,
Who twists and mocks my words as they begin.

I cling to the promise we made,
And I know that our love will be saved,
Or I am nothing; come home and remind me.

Chorus
I will stand on the shore of Commitment,
Facing the pounding waves and the fizzing foam
Of this emotional ocean, this raging sea,
'Til the morning comes, and the tide retreats,
And drains every drop from me.

Middle 8
The storm rages on, though the night is cool and calm,
From here to eternity is where my body wants to be.
If I'm steadfast we'll come to no harm,
And turn this quicksand to land we can build on.

Chorus
I will stand on the shore of Commitment,
Facing the pounding waves and the fizzing foam
Of this emotional ocean, this raging sea,
'Til the night is gone, and a new day breaks -
Quells the tempest that temptation makes -
When will morning come, and the tide retreat,
And drain every drop from me? x
