A song from the new album "Ravensong" featuring layered vocals and acoustic guitars with pedal steel, sentir, marimbula and more, creating an intriguing blend of African, Country and Celtic vibes. It's about a jealous friend, about being on centre-court returning serve... watch out for the jealous ones - they make the most trouble!

I don't want your husband, I don't want your home
I don't need your kitchen, 'cos I prefer my own
I seek something you miss nearly all of the time called peace of mind

I don't want your motor, I don't want your life
I don't need your money 'cos I'm more than alright
I seek something you miss nearly all of the time called peace of mind.

But still you're making mischief with your jealous mind
And you are making mischief and it really is a crime
That you are making mischief with your jealous mind
And the mischief you're making is a risk you are taking
With your heart and peace of mind

So get off of my runway, move out of my space
Get into some practice and learn to run on grace
You'll find something you miss nearly all of the time called peace of mind

But still you're making mischief with your jealous mind
And you are making mischief and it really is a crime
That you are making mischief with your jealous mind
And the mischief you're making is a risk you are taking
With your heart and peace of mind

Help you, I can not, teach you, I think not
I'll just hold the mirror to your face and you look you in the eye
Then tell me, are you satisfied? Satisfied, satisfied

But still you're making mischief with your jealous mind
And you are making mischief and it really is a crime
That you are making mischief with your jealous mind
And the mischief you're making is a risk you are taking
With your heart and peace of mind

Peace of mind

WOW!

LEGENDARY MUSIC II
Susan introduces this new tune of hers as "Cosmic Celtic Country" ... well, I'll go a few steps farther in introducing "Making Mischief" here on Legendary Music II ... this great song folks is what I call "A Galaxy of Rockin' Cosmic Celtic Country", done to the 9's in every respect - vocals, instruments, lyrics, arrangement and production. As far as this old cowboy is concerned Susan, you nailed both the message AND the music!! Well, you know that that pedal steel puts a special smile on my face and sweet country vibes into my listening ears. This is a great song Susan, instrumentally crossing and beautifully connecting geographical genres ... and the harmonizing and playing off of your vocals adds a really nice dimensional depth as well as 'body' and a sense of luxuriance to the song. Did I say I love the lyrics? Well, I do, and I smile curiously at their reason and think to myself, well said Susan, and well written and well done!!

Phlegm Phavorites
LOVE IT! Beautiful vocals & WONDERFUL hook and the mischief you are making is a risk you are takin' with your heart & peace of mind..... You GO Ms. Raven!

WTOZ RADIO
This has a nice old time feel, that is, before sequencers. Love that 12 string work. Carly Simon meets Fleetwood Mac meets...Enya...but, you make it all your own. This is a cool little tune.

The same kind of up-beat energy as some of the "Rumours" tracks by Fleetwood Mac. (think "don't stop").
